With the millions of people in Florida, Texas, and Georgia who are suffering from the devastation left by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, good people across the United States have stepped in to assist in any way possible. That is what Americans do, right? They step up when tragedy strikes at home or abroad and lend a hand.
WINONA – The students of Winona Christian School filled a classroom with cleaning supplies, hygiene products, and baby supplies to be donated to those in need following the devastation in Texas and Louisiana from Hurricane Harvey.
WINONA – The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors and the Winona Board of Aldermen met together last Thursday night in an effort to improve economic development in the county. The purpose of the meeting was to determine which steps the two entities should take in a joint effort to strengthen the local economy.
GRENADA – Last Friday night’s contest between Carroll Academy and Kirk Academy was a defensive battle from the start. The low-scoring match-up was far from uneventful, with a last minute interception return for the win that had the Rebel faithful biting their nails. The Rebels came out on top with a 14-6 victory over the Raiders.
WINONA – Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Director Sue Stidham informed the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors that a four acre tract of land in the Crossroads Industrial Park will soon be developed for distribution.
