Winter weather stalled life in Winona Tuesday and Wednesday, with school and business closings around the area.  Despite the hazardous road conditions and inconveniences, Front Street in Winona was postcard pretty with a blanket of fresh snow.

CA Lady Rebels pick up win over Indianola

It was a rough three days for the Carroll Academy basketball teams last week at the Kirk Academy Invitational.
The Lady Rebels brought home the only win of the week as they beat Indianola 41-38 while they lost 43-34 to Washington and 58-21 to Kirk.

Jaguars score win over SA

The J.Z. George Jaguars picked up a 61-53 victory over Starkville Academy last week during the East Webster Christmas Classic.

It was one of three games the Jaguars played. They dropped a 76-48 loss to East Webster and a 64-31 decision to Baldwyn.

CA to play in Kirk Classic

Carroll Academy will make the short trip north to Grenada to participate in the Kirk Classic starting on Thursday.
The tournament will open on Thursday at noon as the Carroll girls will take on Washington. The boys will follow at 1:15 p.m.
