Back in the eighth grade, Betty Ray of Carrollton did a report on the Dead Sea Scrolls that sparked an interest in Biblical archaeology.

This summer, Ray traveled to Israel for the second time to help with New Orleans Baptist Seminary’s Tel Gezer Water System Excavation Project sponsored by the Center for Archaeological Research.
