Ellis Luke Downs, 3 days, left this world after a brief stay, Friday, January, 5, 2018 at the University of MS Medical Center in Jackson.  Funeral Services are 11 A.M. Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Carroll County with interment in the church cemetery.  Rev. Duane Jensen and Rev. Randy Clayton will officiate.

James E. "Jim" Stanford

Graveside services for Mr. James E. "Jim" Stanford of French Camp were at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Fulton, with Rev. Don Smith officiating.  Visitation was Saturday, January 6, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.

James Ledell Pinkston

Mr. James Ledell Pinkston, 89, of Bessemer, Alabama, passed away at the VA Medical Center in Birmingham on Friday, December 22.  
He was the son of the late Lee Cordell and Eva Mae Gober Pinkston.  He was the retired co-owner of Pinkston's Produce in Bessemer.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert "Bob" Brockman, 90, of Winona wer at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, at First Baptist Church in 
Winona, with burial following in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.  Rev. John L. Walker and Rev. Jerry Rankin officiated the services.  

Richard Lloyd Sexton

Richard Lloyd Sexton, 74, of Southaven died Monday, January 8, 2018, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital following a brief illness. Born June 15, 1943, to Charles Lloyd “Charlie” Sexton and Thelma Shelton Sexton, Richard was a graduate of Horn Lake High School and Northwest Junior College.

Cheryl W. McCormick

Cheryl W. McCormick, 65, of Holly Springs met her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2017, with her family gathered around her as she entered her heavenly home. Cheryl was greatly loved by her family, friends, business associates, DeSoto County softball and baseball players and fans, and her community.

Dorothy Rose Mimms Mangum Kelly

Services for Rose Kelly will be held Friday, December 29, 2017, 2 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood.

Rose, 80, died on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. She was born on January 3, 1937, in Carroll County to the late Bruce and Florence Miller Mimms. She worked for JC Penny and Irvin Automotive for several years.

John Roy Tollison

A memorial service for John Roy Tollison, of Vaiden were held on Friday, December 29 at 2 p.m. at Shongalo Presbyterian Church in Vaiden. Rev. Philip McRae officiated the services. Visitation was from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
