Tiger Austin Woodall signed a letter of intent last week to play baseball at Arkansas Baptist College in the fall. A signing party was held in the Winona High library.

Lady Tiger Shelley Hedgepeth signed a letter of intent last week to play softball for the Bulldogs at Holmes Community College.

“I’m proud of her. I’m proud she signed,” said Lady Tigers Head Coach Stephen Helms. “It gives her another opportunity to go somewhere and play.”

WINONA – Montgomery County High student Army Williams recently received a full academic scholarship to span four years of attendance at Rust College, beginning the upcoming fall semester.

WINONA – The Susan Allen School of Dance started nearly 80 years ago from one woman’s love of dance and has grown to touch the lives of generations throughout the years.

“She danced and loved dancing,” said current owner and instructor Claire Gaines of her late mother.

Road collapses in N. Carrollton

NORTH CARROLLTON – Hampstead Road in North Carrollton is back in full service to traffic.

A section of pavement on the road gave way to a garbage truck during trash pick up at about 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 26. The driver was not injured.
