The annual Billy Wells Invitational Tournament is set to start today at 4 p.m.
The tournament is named for longtime Winona High coach Billy Wells, who led Winona to several state and district championships in the 1970s and 1980s.
Schools playing in the tournament will be Winona High, J.Z. George, Montgomery County and Choctaw County. The games will start with the Montgomery County Lady Hornets taking on the J.Z. George Lady Jags Thursday afternoon at 4. The boys will follow at 5:30.
Starting at 7 p.m the Winona Lady Tigers will take on the Choctaw County Lady Chargers. The boys are set to follow at 8:30.
On Friday, the Lady Hornets will start things off when they face the Lady Chargers at 4. The Hornets will take on the Chargers at 5:30. The Lady Tigers face the Lady Jaguars at 7, and the boys follow at 8:30.
In the Saturday night finale, the Lady Tigers will face the Lady Hornets at 5 p.m. The Tigers will face the Hornets at 6:30.
