Lady Hornets’ season ends

KILMICHAEL -- At the start of the 6-1A tournament in Kilmichael, the Montgomery County Lady Hornets saw their season come to a close Tuesday.

The Lady Hornets, the six seed in the tournament, lost to the number two seeded Durant Lady Tigers 65-36 to close out their 2013-14 season.

Courtnee Hill finished with 12 points, and Sebrevia Jones finished with eight points. JaQuita Turner ended the season with six points, while Crystal Hill and Niesha Butts finished with five apiece.

The Hornets begin play tomorrow as the number two seed against French Camp, a team the Hornets swept in the regular season. Game time is slated for 8 p.m.
