NORTH CARROLLTON -- A shooting in North Carrollton lands one man in jail, facing serious charges.

According to Rob Banks, chief investigator with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, a man he identified as Adrion Liddell, 24, of North Carrollton was arrested on July 8 for his connection with a shooting on July 5.

“We got a call about shots being fired around 10:30 that night near Mary Street in North Carrollton on the hill,” Banks said. “We received information, and an arrest was made.”

Banks said Liddell was charged with aggravated assault for allegedly shooting into a white Chevy Avalanche. He said several witnesses identified Liddell as the shooter.

“We discovered a bullet hole in the tailgate of the truck, and there was a .9 mm shell found as well,” Banks said. “We were told he fired into the vehicle, and his gun jammed.”

Banks said Liddell’s bond was set at $10,000.
