WINONA – A man is facing charges for purposefully setting fire to a duplex apartment.
The community is mourning the loss of a Kilmichael teen, who was tragically killed this past weekend.
Robert Crisman “Trey” Campbell, III, 17, of Kilmichael was killed early Sunday morning when his Jeep SUV struck a tree on Highway 407, north of Herring School Road.
DUCK HILL – A historical marker was unveiled last Friday near Duck Hill’s iconic red caboose for gospel pioneer and Duck Hill native Lucie E. Campbell.
“We are going to make this a part of the history of our town,” said Duck Hill Mayor Joey Cooley.

Tuesday evening, the school board of the Winona Montgomery Consolidated School District moved forward with tasks designated by the Mississippi Department of Education for the July 1 consolidation of the Winona and Montgomery County school districts.
NORTH CARROLLTON – The roster of the Carrollton North Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department is currently at 22 volunteers, according to Carroll County Fire Coordinator Art Hicks.
“It is turning out real well,” said Hicks. “Better than expected.”
