WHS Code Red wins state title

Winona Seniors honored

Charity Ball King and Queen


Winona Head Football Coach Joey Tompkins and Winona Elementary School teacher Amber Austin were crowned this year’s Charity Ball King and Queen at the annual Charity Ball, presented by the Junior Auxiliary of Winona, held Saturday evening at Cotesworth Culture and Heritage Center in Carrollton.

Students rewarded for Academics


Last Thursday, 198 students from Winona Secondary School were treated to lunch at Pizza Inn.  The treat was a reward for WSS students who showed growth on last May’s state tests.  According to Principal Charlie Parkerson, of the 240 students taking the tests, 198 of them showed growth.  The pizza party was just the first of many rewards planned
