WINONA – The City of Winona was awarded a $15,000 grant for economic development from the Walmart Corporation this week.

At the Ferguson house, life is busy!  With our four-year-old now playing soccer and the tee ball season on the horizon, I don’t foresee us slowing down anytime soon.  My husband, Keith, and I take turns cooking – praise the Lord!

The Winona Christian School Stars wrapped up the Division 2-AA baseball championship, despite splitting a pair of games with Oak Hill.

Winona easily won the boys and girls 2-2A track meet last week. The boys finished with 161 points to 89 for runner-up Calhoun City. They were followed by Leflore County with 87 points, Eupora with 24 and East Webster with 7.

The Montgomery County boys finished fourth in the 5-1A meet held at Winona High School last weekt and fifth in the girls meet.
