Grassroots Blues draws a crowd

This past weekend’s Grassroots Blues festival in Duck Hill attracted a sizable and diverse crowd.

There were the young, the old, those who were new to Blues and, of course, the Blues veterans in attendance. No matter who you were, though, it was impossible not to be wooed by the warm air, the delicious barbeque, and the great music.

Skills USA Winners

Students from the Winona Career and Technical Center competed against students statewide in the SkillsUSA State Competition held April 10-11 at locations in Jackson and Pearl.  Students competing in Skills USA represented Winona High School and Winona Christian School and Montgomery, Carroll, and Attala counties.  Winners from SkillsUSA State c



CA JR HIgh Student Council gives back

Members of Carroll Academy's Middle School Student Council, sponsored as the Douglas Carroll Junior American Citizens by Third Arrow Chapter, Mississippi Society Daughters of the American Revolution, donated food items, helped prepare plates and served area "shut-ins" with the ladies of  "Women on Mission" at the North Carrollton Baptist Church
