Funeral services for Tommy Lee McCarroll of Winter Park, Fla., formerly of Kilmichael, were held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Lizzie Sanders Memorial Chapel in Winona, with Rev. Arthur Farmer officiating.  Burial followed in Bethlehem Church Cemetery in Kilmichael

There was no public viewing or visitation.




Clara “Bea” Parker

Clara “Bea” Parker, 86, of Carrollton went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2018.  Bea was born March 22, 1932, in Black Hawk.  Bea met Alton Randall “Randy” Parker when they were both children in Vaiden, and became great friends and playmates.  Bea and Randy married January 13, 1948, in Winona.  After marrying, Bea and Randy lived across the co

Christopher Compton, 34, of Grenada, formerly of Carrollton, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at his residence in Grenada. Private graveside services will be held 9 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Walthall Cemetery. Bro. Mike Davis will officiate. Williams and Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  



Phillip Wayne Blount

Phillip Wayne Blount, 65, of Conway, Ark., formerly of Carroll County, died Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Baptist Hospital in Conway, Ark. Graveside services will be 3 p.m.  Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Malmaison Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.  Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Williams and Lord Funeral Home. Rev.


John M. “Jimmy” Fancher III

John M. “Jimmy” Fancher III, 68, of Grenada, formerly of Greenwood, died Sunday, April 8, 2018, at his residence. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood. Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Williams and Lord Funeral Home. Rev.



Willie Kendle Pittman

Funeral services for Willie Kendle Pittman of Winona were held on Sunday, March 25, 2018, in Lizzie Sanders Memorial Chapel at 3 p.m. with Rev. J.C. Morgan officiating.  Burial followed in Hazel Green Cemetery in Winona.


Reuben Hale

Reuben Hale, 90, critically acclaimed world-class sculptor and artist, died on Friday, March 23, 2018, at his home in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Reuben was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Emma Elizabeth Hale Hill.



Billy A. Pinkston

Graveside services for Mr. Billy A. Pinkston of Vaiden were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 26, at Hopewell Cemetery near Vaiden, with Rev. Philip McRae officiating.  Visitation was Sunday, March 25, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home.


Nathan Small, Jr.

Funeral services for Nathan Small, Jr., of Winona were held on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Lizzie Sanders Memorial Chapel in Winona, with Rev. Norman Small officiating.  Burial followed in Springhill Church Cemetery in Duck Hill.
