Ann Lavell Downs Taylor

Mrs. Ann Lavell Downs Taylor, 67, of Grenada passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017, at her residence. 

She was born October 6, 1950, in Grenada to Bill and Linda Davis Downs.  She was a devoted homemaker and pastor’s wife working alongside her husband at Praise Apostolic Tabernacle where they have served for the past 28 years.  Ann’s sweet spirit and love for others and the Lord will be missed by all who knew her.

A service to celebrate her life were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Praise Apostolic Tabernacle in Winona with Rev. Horace Jackson and Rev. Adelbert Adcock officiating.  Interment followed in the Paul Cemetery in Tallahatchie County.  The family received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Victor Taylor of Grenada; one daughter, Vicky Taylor Hunt and her husband, Jimmy Don of Grenada; one son, Tim Taylor and his wife, Lisa of Grenada; two brothers, Paul Downs of Grenada and David Downs of Hartsville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Erica Taylor, Rachael Hunt, Chris Hutchison, Jeffrey Hunt, Joshua Hunt and Joseph Hunt; and two great-grandchildren, James Michael Hutchison and Alyssa Ann Hutchison. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.                                                                                                                        

Pallbearers were Timmy Bullard, Aaron Dees, Charles Harris, Jeffrey Hunt, Joshua Hunt and Chris Hutchison.

Memorials may be directed to the Praise Apostolic Tabernacle.
