Services for Bervie McLean were held Friday, June 1, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood.
Mrs. McLean, 90, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Providence Assisted Living Center in Grenada.
She was born on September 27, 1927, in Sunflower, to the late James C. and Cora Sudduth Pace. Mrs. McLean attended First Baptist Church in Itta Bena, and loved working in her flower garden, watching birds, and her dogs. She was an accomplished cook and artist. She is preceded in death by parents, and two sisters, Pearlie Malone and Beatrice Bennett.
She is survived by her husband, Carl E. McLean of Itta Bena; two daughters, Sandie (Gerald) Gregg of Winona and Penny (Phil) Dudley of Water Valley; son, Jerry (Laura) McLean of Indianola; six grandchildren, Amber (David) Lindsey of Oklahoma City, Okla., Barry Gregg of Winona, Donavan (Mary) Gregg of Biloxi, Charee (Michael) Woods of Grenada, Landon (Brittany) Frazier of Grenada, and Ashlee Frazier of Lamar; nine great-grandchildren, Chase (Allison) Williams of Winona, Coty Williams of Winona, Phares Gregg of Jackson, Tenn., Laynee Claire Marchant of Grenada, Aubree Woods of Grenada, Sophia Gregg of Biloxi, Collin Gregg of Biloxi, Bryce Frazier of Grenada, and Jace McLean Brigance of Lamar; and five great-great grandchildren, Gage Williams, Mary Presley Williams, Sulli Grace Williams, Taylor Williams, and Sawyer Williams, all of Winona.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 1, 2018, noon to 2 p.m. at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Higdon Herrington officiated the services. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Barry Gregg, Donavan Gregg, Landon Frazier, Chase Williams, Coty Williams, and Howard Holliman. Honorary Pallbearers were Ricky Bennett and Barry Bennett of Carroll County. Interment followed in Itta Bena Cemetery.
