Mrs. Felice Fisher of Hattiesburg, formerly of Winona, passed away on Sunday, June 3, at her residence. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, at Moore Memorial United Methodist Church in Winona, with burial following in Vaiden Cemetery in Vaiden.
Rev. John Kramer officiated the services. The family received visitors at the church on Wednesday, from noon until service time.
Mrs. Fisher, 98, was born in Vaiden on September 17, 1919, to Tom and Mynelle McClurg Vaiden. She was a retired employee of Crossroads Jewelry Store and a member of Moore Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a former Winona Businesswoman of the
Year. Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by her husband, John Lloyd Fisher Jr.; her parents; and her sister, Dott Vaiden Harris.
Mrs. Fisher is survived by her son, John Fisher and his wife, La Nita, of Hattiesburg; four grandchildren, John McClurg Fisher Jr. of Hattiesburg, Felice Ann Smith (Dan) of Madison, Julie Jarrell of Ellisville, and Antionette Stewart of Hattiesburg; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wiley Pruitt, George Harris, John M. Fisher Jr., Jamie Hudson, Maurice Ferguson, and Don Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Pierce, Jimmy Polk, Chut Billingsley, Dr. Tom Dulin, and Dennis Welch.
