Jacob Ryan Randall, 18, passed away early Monday, October 9, 2017, on Hwy. 17 in Carroll County as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at the Carroll Academy Gymnasium with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Keith Ramage and Rev. Lanny Haley officiated.
Visitation was Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Jacob was born in Greenwood and had been a lifelong resident of Carroll County. He was a senior at Carroll Academy where he enjoyed playing football, baseball and basketball. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tommy Lance.
He is survived by his mother, Christy Randall of Coila; his father and step-mother, Forrest and Melissa Randall of Olive Branch; two brothers; Wayne Randall of Greenwood and Zachary Randall of Coila; two sisters; Cindy Randall and Jessi Randall, both of Olive Branch; paternal grandparents, Dwight and Carolyn Randall of Seven Pines and Fay Randall of Carrollton; maternal grandmother, Linda Lance of Greenwood; an aunt, Paige Upchurch of Clewiston, Fla.; and an uncle, Brian Randall of Carrollton.
Pallbearers were the senior football players: Colby Holly, Bubba Porter, Hunter Robertson, Hunter Smith, Jacob Cutts, Andrew Montgomery, Noah Collier, Josh Galey, Austin Meriwether and Ethan Shelton. Honorary pallbearers were the other members of the Carroll Academy Rebel football team.
