Nobie Joyce McCain Ferguson

Funeral services for Mrs. Nobie Joyce McCain Ferguson of Falkner, formerly of Winona, were at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Pine Bluff Cemetery near Poplar Creek.  Rev. Dale Strickland officiated the services. 

Visitation was Saturday, October 7, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ferguson, 83, died at her residence on Wednesday, October 4.  She was born in Vaiden on December 19, 1933, to Moss Cleveland and Zelma G. McCorkle McCain.  She was a homemaker and a member of Shongalo Presbyterian Church in Vaiden. 

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Bryan (Bert) of Falkner; her son, Eric Ferguson (Charlyn) of Carrollton; sister, Greta Fay McCain of Grenada; five grandchildren, Chad, Josh, Cathy, Paul, and Katie; ten great-grandchildren, Kayla, Logan, Dusty, Channing, Alex, Zoe, Bishop, Hartley Ru, Madison, and Matthew; three great-great-grandchildren, Lucas, Kaegan, and Remi; many nieces and nephews; and a very special unbiological daughter, Donna Kehrig Hennel of New York.  She was preceded in death by her husband, E. N. "Shorty" Ferguson; and a granddaughter, Michelle Lee Bryan Little.

Pallbearers were Chad Rogers, George Harris, Denny Hoover, Andy Ferguson, Barry Hardin, and Allan Pratt.  Honorary pallbearers were Don Sampley, George Weaver, James Taylor Williams, and Johnny Hightower.
