Norma Ann Williams

Norma Ann Williams, 80, was born November 26, 1936, and died October 7, 2017, at Merit Health Central Hospital in Jackson.

Visitation were held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd. in Jackson on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with funeral services to follow in the chapel. Interment will follow at Lakewood South Memorial Park.

Williams, formerly Norma Browning of Carrollton, was a long time resident of Clinton and a retired High School English and Spanish teacher with Hinds County and Yazoo City Schools.  Williams was beloved by her students.

She is survived by her sister, Carol Sue Cassidy of McCarley; former spouse John M. Williams of Jackson; her three daughters, Johnelyn Wilson of Little Rock, Ark., Cindy Ringler of Clinton and husband Lance Ringler, Melissa Corry of Olive Branch and husband Michael Corry;  eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
