Geneva Bailey Pernell, 76, of Philipp passed away at her home on April 23, 2018.  She was born to Andrew Thomas and Mabel Burkes Bailey in Drew on December 20, 1941.  In January 1958, she married Prentiss Aaron Pernell, Sr. her husband of 60 years.



Amon Olin Devoe Williams

Services for Amon Olin Devoe Williams were held Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 1 p.m. graveside in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton.

Mr. Williams, 61, died on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.

Karen Kay Hall Ouzts, 62, of Sidon died Sunday, April 29, 2018, at her residence. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m.  Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Odd Fellows East Cemetery. Visitation was from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Williams and Lord Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis McKay officiated.



Edward “Ed” Shaw Tharp

Edward “Ed” Shaw Tharp, 86, of Carrollton died Friday, April 27, 2018, at Golden Age Nursing Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Liberty Baptist Church in Carroll County. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time at the church.  Bro. Gary Tanner and Bro. John Gray will officiate at the services.


James Thomas "Jimmy" Gray

James Thomas "Jimmy" Gray, 70, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Winona, died at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis on Friday, April 27, 2018.  He was born in Winona on July 4, 1947, to Zane and Merle Biggers Gray and was a 1965 graduate of Winona High School.  He was a U.S.



Lee Othis Cloninger, Sr.

Lee Othis Cloninger, Sr., passed away on April 27, 2018, from complications of congestive heart failure.  Lee was born in Tallahatchie County on January 20, 1935, and was 83 years old at the time of his death.  Lee enlisted in the the U.S.

Miriam Janet Smith, 78, of Adamsville, Tenn., (formerly of Carrollton), died Sunday, April 29, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Carrollton Baptist Church with burial following at the Neshoba Baptist Church Cemetery in Neshoba County.   Dr.
