Floyce Cook Tucker

Floyce Cook Tucker, 96, formerly of Vaiden, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2018, in Jackson where she had lived in a nursing home since December of 2014.  She was born in Vaiden on March 10, 1921, the daughter of the late George and Minnie Gant Cook.




Carolyn Sue Pullen

A graveside service for Carolyn Sue Pullen of Winona, formerly of Memphis, Tenn., will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, at New Hope Methodist Cemetery in Winona.  Rev. Linda Malone will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be Barry Eskridge, Jeff Wilson, John Alexander, Andrew Wilson, Jon Eskridge, and Sidney Castle.


Harvey Gene Matthews

Funeral services for Mr. Harvey Gene Matthews of Greenville were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 22, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Scotland Baptist Church Cemetery in Winona.  Dr.



Judith Meece Devine

On December 20, 2017, Judith Meece Devine, after a long illness, passed away at her home in Alabaster, Ala. She was preceded in death by her husband James E. “Dock” Devine, sister June Walker and brother Russel E. Meece, Jr.


Earl Edward Watson

Earl Edward Watson, 87, born Sept. 18, 1930 in Danville, Ind., went to be with his Lord on Sun. December 31, 2017, in Brandon. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon handled funeral arrangements.



Jean Carroll Langley

Services for Jean Carroll Langley were held Monday, January 8, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood.
Mrs. Langley, 83, died on Thursday, January 4, 2018.  She was born on August 15, 1934, in Indianola to James and Linnie Tadlock Carroll. She lived in the Mississippi Delta her entire life.


James E. "Jim" Stanford

Graveside services for Mr. James E. "Jim" Stanford of French Camp were at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Fulton, with Rev. Don Smith officiating.  Visitation was Saturday, January 6, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.



Alice Evelyn Johnson King

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Evelyn Johnson King of Winona were at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 15, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in New Hope Cemetery in Winona.  Rev. Saxton Odom officiated the services.
Visitation was Monday, from noon until service time, at Oliver Funeral Home.
